Few months ago, I had made myself clear that it is a MUST to watch "The Lady" in cinema. I have got to know her name, Aung San Suu Kyi in newspaper few years ago, it was a news on 2010 when she was released from house arrest. She is a brilliant lady which fight for a democracy in Burma and never afraid on the political force.
Personally I believe the historical background of the story is real, and I'm not very sure on the reality on the part of personal story of Aung San Suu Kyi. Michelle Yeoh did pretty well in the movie and I think it did made a challenge to her. I was touched by her acts.

You may not think about politics, but politics thinks about you. - Aung San Suu Kyi
After the movie, I found somehow we Malaysian are having the same issue too. Though we are now having a parliamentary democracy with a constitution, but yet there is still a long step to a real democracy. Having a tool for democracy doesn't means that we are into the situation.
When the electoral system is not sufficient and "well-equipped" with loopholes, when the constitution is being "raped" by endless amendments, when the separation of power between judicial, executive and legislative is linked and no more independent, I did not see any sense of democracy in Malaysia.
When the ruling party says we the power is on the people, at the time they are in control of all the decisions, procedures and keep away any protest (perhaps the voice of people), I did not see any hints that the country is in the hand of the people.
Having a human right is a fundamental part of life. You says we have the right to speak and we have the freedom to choose, and later you block away any possibility which might threaten your current position.
After all, can anyone takes a strong stand and tell me that we are still having a democracy?
We have a better situation than Burma-before-1990. Those tools are here, the thing we have to do is to have a democracy, a real one. It is regardless on which is the ruling party as long as the real definition of democracy and voice of people is being heard and considered by the government right?
The people is start voicing now, those who oppose the government does means that they are the opposition party, neither they are from UMNO, DAP, PAS or whatever. The people is just hoping to have a better tomorrow, by having a government which thinks about the people and with no corrupt.
Dear government, the people are not mean to against you, we are just wishing to have a cleaner system. Why are you so resisting to hear from us? I do not know.
One situation I'm having now, I'm 21, I have a vote in next election, and I have no idea which party to vote to. It is not reason that I do not know the politics or the electoral system. I know kinda well, but I feel no convince from any. This is my situation, perhaps the situation of others too.
*I guess this is my very first time to put a post on view on the Malaysia
I'm not a politician, but I have an interest because the politics is guiding me and my country.*
